Bosch, JLR and Williams among big names looking for candidates at the Motorsport & Automotive Jobs Fair – 25 April 2018, Silverstone

The Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) will be hosting the 6th Motorsport & Automotive Jobs Fair at Silverstone Wing, Northamptonshire, on Wednesday 25th April 2018.

The recruitment fair has been organised in partnership with the National Motorsport Academy and is being supported by South Northamptonshire Council.

Hundreds of professionals, graduates, apprentices and students are expected to attend the event to discuss potential employment and career progression opportunities. They will also be able to meet with companies such as Bosch, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover, McLaren and Williams to name but a few.

Job seekers will be offered complimentary workshops with the focus on CV and LinkedIn profile writing, motorsport careers and education.

Previous Jobs Fairs received positive feedback from recruiting companies and educators. As a result, 70% interviewed quality candidates and 50% hired someone as a direct result of the Fairs.

Clive Temple and Mike Bayes from Cranfield University said:

“As a long standing MIA member Cranfield University regularly attends the recruitment fairs organised by the MIA. The events help us raise awareness for our range of Motorsport and Automotive related courses, research activities and our underpinning facilities and expertise to both potential students and industry professionals. The Motorsport & Automotive Jobs Fair is definitely ‘a go to event for us and we are looking forward to exhibiting again at Silverstone in April 2018”

Stephen Deane from Hewland added:

“The Jobs Fair was a major success for Hewland. We spoke to a large number of quality candidates on the day and organised follow up sessions with many. We have subsequently made two appointments to our engineering team with the new recruits joining us very shortly and supporting our business growth.”

The event is being hosted in Hall 1 at Silverstone Wing, Silverstone Circuits, from 10am to 4pm.

The event is open to all job seekers from 16 year old, their teachers and parents. They can register for free on https://motorsport-automotive-jobs-fair-25-april-2018.eventbrite.co.uk
