The University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) with Boeing, is a world-class centre for advanced machining and materials research for aerospace and other high-value manufacturing sectors. It is a partnership between industry and academia, which has become a model for research centres worldwide.

As part of the MIA event on 1st October, delegates will be joined by key staff from the composites and design teams at the AMRC, and will be able to gain insight into the tools, technologies and techniques being developed with partner companies in the Aerospace and other high value manufacturing sectors.  

There will be opportunities to discuss how MIA members may be able to contribute to and benefit from the research programmes. Delegates will also have an overview tour of the AMRC facilities and will see how the collaborative centre interacts with UK and global manufacturers.
