The MIA is offering an excellent programme of FREE to attend Business Workshops on the 8th and 9th January 2009 at Autosport International, NEC Birmingham. The MIA Business Workshops are being held in concourse suites 22 – 23, which are conveniently located just outside the halls of the Autosport International 2009 Show and are open to MIA members and non-nembers alike. Thursday 8th January 2009: 


 9.30 - 10.00 MIRA - Large volume airflow visualisation and motion capture in MIRA’s full scale wind tunnel
The use of film industry motion capture cameras to track helium bubbles in 3 dimensions as they pass over a vehicle in the wind tunnel enables us to visualise and evaluate the flow field in a way previously only possible with CFD.

10.00 - 10.30 -Real-time vehicle simulations for K&C virtual benchmarking and electric Torque Distribution modelling 
Details of an exciting new technique that enables CAE vehicle models to be generated as a direct output of K&C data.  This presentation will also show how MIRA has modelled and employed electronic torque distribution to enhance a vehicle’s dynamic performance.

11.00 - 12.00 Sherrards Employment Law Ltd - Redundancy Re-structuring and New Rules on Migrant Workers
