The Advanced Propulsion Centre was formed in 2013 from a commitment between the government and automotive industry through the Automotive Council to position the UK as a global centre of excellence for low carbon powertrain development and production. It is a central pillar of the Industrial Strategy created by the Automotive Council. The Hub is located at the University of Warwick and has a small core operational team and specialists to develop, support and facilitate collaboration and projects. A showcase area in the building provides an opportunity to demonstrate the UK capability and innovation in advanced low carbon technologies. The Hub provides a ‘go-to’ location with physical space for connectivity, collaboration and coordination for the work with industry partners.
