MIA Mission Statement
The MIA will:
- Provide a business support service and advice, to companies in the Motorsport Industry and promote and protect their interests
- Provide information, assistance and encouragement to members in all aspects of business development, particularly export sales opportunities, and liaison with government
- Promote the achievements of MIA members and the Industry to the business and general media sectors.
Aims and objectives
Our primary values and purposes are to:
- Give quick and proficient response to members' needs and long term satisfaction, service and value
- Represent and promote members to ensure they gain competitive advantage over their competitors
- Add strength and substance to the image of the Motorsport Industry in the global marketplace
- Maintain good relations with UK and European government, and other policy making authorities and represent members' interests through open lines of communication with these authorities
- Act as the focal point for Industry opinions and disseminate those to appropriate areas including regulatory authorities
- Represent our members' interests via liaison with legislative bodies
- Provide tangible business benefits of real value to members
Our other goals are to:
- Provide networking opportunities with key contacts in the business, sponsorship and sports industries
- Create business opportunities via meetings, seminars and training programmes for members and associated companies
- Encourage exports
Criteria for MIA Membership
A member must be:
- Substantially engaged in the supply and/or promotion of Motorsport products, services or activities.
- Prepared to sign the Code of Practice
- Operating in a bona fide and ethical manner
- Involved in the Motorsport industry for at least one year, prior to application
