Following the highly successful first MIA Winter School held in November 2010, the MIA is delighted to confirm that the second part of the School will now be held at Warwick University, near Coventry on 19/20 March 2011.
Please note: this course is only available to those who successfully completed the course in November 2010.
The curriculum for each programme has been designed and will be presented by Industry professionals, Race Engineers, Jay Davenport (Chief Engineer MW Arden – GP3) and Dan Walmsley (Chief Engineer Strakka Racing – Le Mans Series). The school will again feature a guest speaker, a leading and well known professional Race Engineer who will join students for dinner, reveal trade secrets and give guidance on breaking into this exciting sector.
Graduates successfully completing both Schools will be awarded an MIA Certificate of Accreditation – Race Car Engineering.

Set Up Procedures
Learn how to apply your vehicle dynamics knowledge to the car to guarantee a fast car every time. How do you select gear ratios? What equipment should you be using? How do you dial out cross-weight and optimise ride heights? What is the most efficient set up routine? All will be revealed.
Data Analysis & Telemetry (Double Module)
Increase your knowledge of data logging systems, telemetry, do's and don'ts of data logging, maths channels, interpreting data and working with data to improve both the driver and the car.
