05 Apr 2019

FREE workshop - April 10th, National Conference Centre, Solihull - BOOK TODAY!

The Niche Vehicle Network is again organising their annual funding competition for SMEs in the low-carbon vehicle technology sector, which includes motorsport, which has £3 million available to support collaborative R&D activities in the following projects.

Proof of Concept - provides grants for UK niche vehicle manufacturers and associated design and engineering companies, including those in motorsport, to undertake R&D of early market low-carbon technology demonstration projects.

Production Readiness - provides grants for UK SMEs and their supply chains, including motorsport companies, to take existing low-carbon vehicle technologies from demonstration through to production readiness in a compressed timescale, leading to significant economic benefits whilst reducing CO2 emissions.

This competition is sponsored by Innovate UK, the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) and the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC).

Competition Workshop Event

Any company wishing to participate in the competition should plan to attend the R&D Competition workshop on 10th April to:

- Find out how the 2019 competition is configured and has changed from previous years

- See how the new on-line application process operates and be well prepared for bid submission

- Receive advice on how to prepare a bid and maximise your chances of being awarded funding

- Meet other companies looking to participate in the competition - who could potentially help strengthen your consortium and support your bid.

The Competition Workshop includes a full competition briefing when delegates have the opportunity to briefly introduce themselves and identify their areas of interest. It will include an interactive workshop session which includes advice and debate on what makes a project fundable and how best to present your bid. There will also be networking opportunities to meet other companies to discuss potential partnerships.
