Technology Strategy Board (TSB)
Three strands of the Technology Strategy Board's (TSB) activities
may be of particular relevance to your motorsport business:
1 - Knowledge Transfer Networks (KTNs)
Knowledge Transfer Networks (KTNs) help your business to develop partnerships which can aid innovation and help to generate new business.
A Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) is a single over-arching national network in a specific field of technology or business application which brings together people from businesses, universities, research, finance and technology organisations to stimulate innovation through knowledge transfer.
KTNs have been established by (and are funded by) government, industry and academia. KTNs are used by the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) as an innovation 'delivery mechanism'.
There are currently 19 KTNs with a membership of around 60,000 organisations

2 - Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs)
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) is a UK-wide programme enabling businesses to improve their competitiveness, productivity and performance.
A KTP achieves this through the forming of a Partnership between your business and an academic institution (such as university, further education college or research and technology organisation), enabling you to access skills and expertise to help your business develop.

3 - Competitions
The TSB drives innovation through the organisation and sponorship of various competition programmes.
Applications for funding and awards for contracts are invited through a range of competitions which address a specific area of priority identified by the TSB as being of critical importance to the growth of the UK economy. Research & Development competitions are mainly collaborative; however, with exception, single companies may apply.
